McKesson Canada has a long history of support for Canadian pharmacists and pharmacy operations. Our continued efforts in this area involve several significant initiatives.
Trends and Insights Report 2007 - For the sixth consecutive year, McKesson Canada has sponsored the
Trends and Insights Report. This report summarizes the findings of an extensive Canadian survey mailed to pharmacy owners and managers across the country.
Through feedback obtained from the survey, McKesson Canada and its customers are better able to understand the challenges that pharmacists are facing. This understanding can then be leveraged to jointly develop the products, programs and services that will be of most benefit to Canadian pharmacy operations.

2007 Pharmacy Who's Who - Each year, McKesson Canada sponsors the
Pharmacy Who's Who (previously called the
Pharmacy Sourcebook). This guide to the Canadian pharmacy market provides an extensive directory of the key stakeholders within the Canadian pharmacy environment, including pharmacy retailers, manufacturers, distributors, goods and services suppliers, national and provincial pharmacy associations, drug benefit programs and health organizations.

Industry Associations - McKesson Canada is an active contributing member in several important industry associations. Through our participation in these associations and their committees, we interact with our customers and other members of the health care supply chain to continually advance the role of the pharmacy and the delivery of health care products and services to Canadians.

Awards - McKesson Canada is a proud sponsor of industry awards that recognize the contributions of outstanding Canadian pharmacists. Some of these awards include the Heart of the Action Awards (Pharmacien de coeur et d'action), presented by
L'actualité pharmaceutique, the Commitment to Care Awards, presented by
Pharmacy Practice and the DOSA Awards, presented by
Pharmacy Post.
Faculties of Pharmacy - McKesson Canada is proud to support Canadian faculties of pharmacy which provide training and education to future pharmacists.
In fact, McKesson Canada recently donated $100,000 to the University of Manitoba's Faculty of Pharmacy. The contribution will go towards a new $20 million teaching and research facility. Automation equipment typically used in a retail pharmacy setting makes up 50 percent of the McKesson Canada donation. This in-kind support will provide with access to the most current pharmaceutical learning experience.
