McKesson Canada launched version 4.0 of its award winning web-based e-ordering application today under the new brand name PharmaClik.

The application, formerly known as mediscontact.ca, has been rebranded to better position the product with customers and support McKesson Canada's corporate branding strategy."We believe that the name PharmaClik - simple, evocative and easy to remember - will help spread the word about the benefits of the system." said Brigitte Hénault, Director E-business at McKesson.

In addition to providing customers with increased functionality such as re-ordering templates, enhanced reporting features and automatic validation of uploaded orders, the application also features a host of improvements designed to make navigation of the site faster and more efficient. "The system is loaded with new features, many of which we implemented on the basis of our customers suggestions. We will continue to make improvements to the system and strive to exceed customer expectations," added Hénault.

McKesson Canada supplier representatives can now use PharmaClik to access the catalogue of their company's specific products and place orders through the web on behalf of pharmacy customers.

Launched in February 2002, PharmaClik is McKesson Canada's first e-commerce product and provides its 1 800-plus customers with real-time access to information on more than 35,000 products. It allows them to accurately manage their in-store inventory through on-line ordering and improve their supply chain efficiency using the site's reporting and management tools.
